Scan points outside this window will not be returned in profiles. These parameters are useful to avoid getting unwanted data points that are in the vicinity of the piece you wish to scan. For instance, when scanning an object on a conveyor belt, you'll probably want to avoid including the belt in the data points.
The coordinate system is defined by the calibration fixture – i.e., if you calibrate your scan head with a fixture that is in a different physical position every time, the Scan Window will move as well. Therefore, we advise you to design a calibration fixture in such a way that it has a fixed position relative to the chain or belt.
